I finally got some pics of my latest portable hoop house. It is 10 x 12 and has about 38 young chickens growing out inside.
Views on the inside:
And a few Ameraucana closeups
first a silver pullet
now a pair of lavenders
Well, the camera i was using is awful but my little group of free ranging banjos decided to take a little rest right by my feet. 3 little polish, about 6 weeks old and a little legbar pullet, about 4 weeks old (i think)
Fourteen rotten eggs. I swear they were moving last night. I guess its possible the gasses were moving.
I have to wonder. How did I get 14 eggs that never developed anything?
It explains why the girls would not lay back down on the eggs.
@MotorcycleChick
We always took the rotten eggs and smashed them to see what stage went wrong. I don't plan on letting mine hatch. However, if I don't finish my run soon they will start laying in the tall grass and I won't be given the choice.

In regards to brush removal...
Let me know how fast the goats clear out where you put them. I've been kicking that idea around for a few years. The barn needs a new roof before that happens, too many larger predators to just give them a shed in the field.
Thanks
