What kinds of chickens do you have there? Is it cold there? I'm interested to say your chicken coop and run setups, which maybe very different from ones here.

Ahhh lord of the rings.... Haven't seen them haha (only one?)
Currently we have 4 bantams, not sure on breed but they all have the hairy feet and are tiny. 1 rooster and his 3 wives. Jack, Jill, Millie and Mollie. Jill I have just discovered is sitting on some eggs and it's the middle of winter here but their coop is super warm so maybe that's why?! I'm picking up a few more eggs for her today (silkie breed) those 4 are free range with our 2 ducks and a pukeko (native to here)
We also have a run of big chickens as I call them, 8 of them with 2 roosters. They are in the big pen at the back of the house but constantly escape and they have decided to stop laying, wasn't really expecting them to be laying in winter anyway but I don't mind.
And there's my farm haha also have a cat, 2 Guinea pigs, 3 kids and a husband.... Fun times.

Sounds really nice little farm! I had to google what is pukeko who seems a cool bird. Are you allow to keep wild birds as livestock/ pets there? I don't have too much room for more chickens, ducks, quails, goats, etc. But I may move to a more rural area and get more animals in the future.

He's not ours as such, he's definitely wild but he's alone and our ducks seem to think he's like them so he hangs around, you certainly can't get close to him. Most people here think they are a pest but they are very pretty and keep my garden weeded haha.
We are very lucky we live rural, not allowed chickens in town (too noisy) I grew up with chickens and am so excited to have them again.
I would love a pig aswell but husband say no

Help!

I was just out with the girls and I saw this poop - I'm not sure how fresh it is. But those small yellow things? They're either worms or some type of maggot?? :( They were wiggling around throughout. No bigger than a grain of rice.

They get Rooster Booster in their water daily. Dumor Poultry Grower/Finisher Feed + grit. Food scraps sometimes (mostly melon or cucumber). Should I get meds to administer ASAP??

Average bielefelder laying age is said bout 6 month to 9 month (6 for spring chicks, 9 for fall chicks?), so Rhodefelder does benefit from Rhodebar gene and lays earlier. I'm very impressed that Bear really has all good personalities from Bielefelder yet an early layer. I remember she hatched early and easily, right? If all Rhodefelders are like her, they really are a great breed for every one. Maybe you can check with your other customers to see how the other Rhodefelders turned out?

Wow, that is really good for either to lay at 5 months. And the Legbar laying at 5 months minus 12 days is really amazing too. You seem to have a way with chicks.

I hope I'm correct in saying that Rhodebars always lay light colored eggs, I was not expecting the Biels to lay dark eggs, but when they started laying they were consistently darker than the Rhodebars. Since I was confident I could tell the eggs apart, I added some young Rhodebars to the pen with my 2 pairs of Biels so I could get hybrid eggs. I hatch them separately based on color of the eggs, the light ones are "Rhodefelders", the dark ones are Biels. If the Rhodebars lay darker eggs, then some of the "Biels" I'm raising could be hybrids. If the Biel pullets started laying Rhodebar colored eggs, then the hybrids could be full blooded Biels.

I doubt your Rhodefelder is a pure Biel, just based on how early she started laying. It is neat that she looks like a Biel. One of the hybrids I raised up looked exactly like a Rhodebar, not a Biel, so it is possible she is pure Bielefelder.
