She really is! Last night she put off bedtime by showing me every word in sign language she could think of. Some I didn't realize she knew yet. Little stinker is paying more attention than I thought.

Had a visitor yesterday...they have a mating- grouping here every year about this time...
the whole back yard is full of all different kinds of dragonflys..damsels..it is really neat to watch.
I had integrated the 13 week olds(barrred rocks) yesterday. I had left them out in the evening, wen everyone is generally calmest. They were very well received. The only issues are coming from the two younger marans, mostly KFC, she i not very nice to begin with, so not too much of a surprise...Probably because those two(marans) are on the bottoms rungs of hierarchy.


they keep trying to find a way back into their coop...still fairly skiddish with everything. their personalities are so sweet...didn't know chickens could be like that. I read the stories people have about their chickens being so nice, but ..wow...hahaha, I hope they stay this way.

The marans on the far right is the "meany"..she will even peck at our feet from time to time...but she is a good layer.

Popeye is a surprise. She has really changed this past year.
I know "eat", "drink", and "more" are common to teach babies before they can speak. I taught her my signs back then. Last week I made a big deal about real American Sign Language, and now she is all over it!
Why do we need more than one sign language anyway? :th

'popeye' has filled-out nicely. She is an oddball, very entertaining!! She is like the kid in the group...funny girl. Doesn't like to lay her eggs where she is supposed to though

Going to Rote today to get some supplies from the Amish store..LOVE that place!! They have all the dry goods I like and their prices are very comparable to roots, actually, they are cheaper with a lot of the items.
