JAEBELS IS BACK! Well, actually, she must have just been very very good at hiding. She was in the locked up run this morning.

Cate has not laid any eggs in about a month. is this healthy? She hatched June of 2015. The higher protein feed is not helping her. On the other hand, Niko is off mama duty and is laying again!

She could be molting, it's that time of year. My egg count has dropped by at least half over the past month or so.
You might see if she eats some treat for you.I think of my California Grays is sick. Yesterday and today she is just standing around, all fluffed up, and putting her head under her wing. She doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, other than a pale comb and wattles. When I try to pick her up, she does try to run away is seems very spry. I will keep and eye on her today, and if she is not showing any signs of improvement, I will isolate her and try to give her some TLC.
The turkeys are learning to free range, just have to make sure they don't go too far. I do hope they learn to come back tonight without too much trouble. I have learned turkey herding is only accomplished if you make an idiot out of yourself. This includes talking to to them, arms spread, and following them around like a stalker.![]()
I agree. It's probably something like a start to molting.
