Hi, Stake.

I got a crappy picture of Kelly Osbourne today. Ozzy wasn't happy as I picked him up. But a dove is a dove. He couldn't hurt me.

Cate has not laid any eggs in about a month. is this healthy? She hatched June of 2015. The higher protein feed is not helping her. On the other hand, Niko is off mama duty and is laying again!

She could be molting, it's that time of year. My egg count has dropped by at least half over the past month or so.

I agree. It's probably something like a start to molting.

I think of my California Grays is sick. Yesterday and today she is just standing around, all fluffed up, and putting her head under her wing. She doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, other than a pale comb and wattles. When I try to pick her up, she does try to run away is seems very spry. I will keep and eye on her today, and if she is not showing any signs of improvement, I will isolate her and try to give her some TLC.

The turkeys are learning to free range, just have to make sure they don't go too far. I do hope they learn to come back tonight without too much trouble. I have learned turkey herding is only accomplished if you make an idiot out of yourself. This includes talking to to them, arms spread, and following them around like a stalker.

You might see if she eats some treat for you.

I use a 10 ft PVC pipe to help with the turkey wrangling. I can shift it back and forth to encourage the ones that are trying to wander to the side. And the white color is easy to find because I sometimes drop it in the grass and forget about it until I need it again. Cheap too.

I would treat the cali grey for cocci. That's what it sounds like to me anyway.

For the turkeys, I have a plastic rake that I use to make my arm span much longer when I herd them in to the coop in the evenings. Works really well :)

I have an ~ 6 week old cream leg bar roo to re-home. I think he may have a crest. I would love t keep him but I have 4 others
