Good afternoon all: One of my neighbors left this next to my mail box.....
Nice! I worked in my temporary office in our PA facility today, and just noticed there were chickens free range cross street there. I never paid attention to what's outside before. So I was happily enjoying chicken TV with a cup of coffee during my breaks.

That's awesome! Do you know who left it? I came home tonight to find my outside chick brooder had collapsed from the weight if the logs I had put on top. The chicks were close by but running around like crazies! It was 7 pm, and my in laws were waiting for us to come to dinner. So I left their food and water out, and the critter carrier I transport them in nearby. I fugured they should be okay for an hour or two, and I would find them when it got dark. I couldn't catch them anyways, it would be like herding cats. Thankfully, when I came home, they were all falling asleep in a lump in the carrier. I just shut the door and brought them into their cage in the garage. I should have my shed delivered next week, and then I can train them to sleep in there. I will have to mix everybody together then, but I will make sure the littles can have a place to escape the other chickens and turkeys. I have a plan people! Also, trash picked a plywood scrap out of my neighbor's trash today. Will need that for the shed reroofing. Also, found a guy on Craigslist selling shingles fairly cheap. I will pick them up on Sunday. :yesss:

Does anyone in SW Pa have any peeps for sale, my poor  broody Silkie has been trying for 6 weeks, 2 tries, to hatch out some eggs but they have all not been fertile.

You can try HorstmanPoultry.com if no one on here has any, his stock is pricey but good quality, I don't know what he may be hatching right now though....hopefully something.

When I posted an update about my rooster mating with the chicken everyone thought was a roo I just wanted to let everyone know that she is laying. Here is a pic of her I I just collected.
1000

Her egg is on the right and her sister from another egg batch is on the left so you can see the color difference.
