A few days ago, I heard a ruckus down by the coops before I let the birds out. I thought that something was very wrong with all the quacking going on. Stephen was upset too, but the quacking had me very worried. Jojo sounded like he was going to kill someone!
When I saw three ducks outside, I figured my birds would chase them off like they do most visitors from next door. Instead, the Pekin cross Drake and even the two smaller ducks had a little tussle with my ducks. I was annoyed to say the least. By the evening, I was thinking about having the extra ducks for supper! Everyone was getting along just fine by then. I just don't want the extra mouths to feed or space taken in the coop. After several days, I finally asked the neighbor about the ducks. They are not hers. I now own three more ducks.
I am so glad I did not kick the ducks out late at night the previous two nights. Or was it three?![]()

Being mallards they could have been raised by someone and escaped, thinking they wanted to fly south or live the wild life....then reality struck and they missed easy meals and warm houses! LOL
