I haven't had any people aggressive, toms or hens but I have a hen that was the sweetest thing to the chickens but then she went broody, set on an empty nest for 4 months and she was really mean she almost killed one of my hens and then she had quit setting and she was good again but now that's change again.

It must be an individual thing. I've seen some hens get upset with a roo they felt was taking "too many liberties", but once the roo got a clear message, she let it go. When broody, but hens get pretty ditzy (they aren't exactly bright other times either) and usually pile into one nest with all the other broodies. They tolerate other hens just fine and I imagine they would do ok with chicken hens too, though the chickens with them are usually roos.

Sounds great @dheltzel. Silver Ameraucanas look striking on google images.

Was wondering today while looking at the eggs in GIANT. What breed would you likely get if you incubated the fertilized eggs they sell?

I've herd of folks incubating 'whole food eggs' and getting hatches....mostly barnyard mixes with alot of RIR mixes...

I won eggs about two months ago. They didn't make it. I said no replacement. She felt bad. The replacement eggs are coming soon. I wouldn't incubate, but as you said... Auroradream made it too tempting.

Looks like I need to take more pictures ;)

I'm dying to get some silkies incubating but, of course, I've had them seperated about a week now and Angel has decided that she's done laying. Unless, somehow, she's hiding the eggs in there somewhere lol. They're starting seperated until I get eggs to hatch lol.

Lost my first chick last night. It must have been before I latched the coop for the night. :( my Easter egger was the biggest by 2 weeks and like a momma to the rest. Now down to 6. They are hiding in the bushes and I am standing watch.
A hawk has been stalking them but they fly away with their prey right? Found my girl 20ft from the coop.

Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss :( I haven't had enough experience with predators to give you any advice on it though.
