​its tail feathers don't curl there pointing straight up. and it don't seem to have aloud quack either I will see tomorrow if it will quack different


On this link http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/artquacks.htm there are sound clips of the difference in the quack. For an adult, the voice is a better sexing tool. Drake feathers do get shed during molt, but their voices stay the same. There is also a pic of the drake feathers on that link.

I am amazed at how hardy my girls are. My son came running inside in a panic Sunday morning: he had played with the chickens on Saturday and evidently neglected to bolt the back door of the coop securely. It has blown open during the night--cold and windy and it is a people sized door, but all the girls were accounted for and just FINE!
I bet they all nestled together!
 
Bet you could all use a chick fix :) Don't mind the messy brooder. They're ready to move out to the bigger one lol

my experience is that the recent chill is nothing to healthy chooks...most LF cold tolerant chooks get by easily til the chill gets to single digits...then its needs 'management'.....my two cents....
