my experience is that the recent chill is nothing to healthy chooks...most LF cold tolerant chooks get by easily til the chill gets to single digits...then its needs 'management'.....my two cents....

I agree. I have a few that still insist on sleeping on top of the coop. I'm not sure if they are trying to train me to put them inside, or if they just really don't want to go in. I left them out last night, it got down to 25-30, I think, so maybe they will decide to go in on their own tonight. Crazy birds.

I watched half of that on Kodi last night. It's really good!
Focuses on 3 breeders going to a big show in Ohio. I learned a lot about the "American Standard of Perfection".
Kept my eye out for @dheltzel but couldn't see him. He must have been in the CCL section somewhere

Apologies for non-chicken related post!
Kodi is Open Source Home Theater software.
We watch TV with a home theater PC connected to the back of the TV.
It's a one stop shop for all your photos, home movies, saved movies and TV shows, and you can also stream stuff like documentaries and TV shows.
Not as reliable as just turning the TV on, but we only really turn the TV on when we have something specific we want to watch.

Fox eating dead dear by the roadside near Malvern Prep school this morning!

That's much better than finding them nibbling on your chickens! I've seen that before... :(

@AnneInTheBurbs
 , I can probably get a Ceymani cockerel for you for free, if you really want one. I would certainly give you a Black Ameraucana roo for free, and they are awesome looking black birds.

I texted the lady and she said she can do a duo (hen & roo) for $60. Can you get an Ayam Cemani set for less than that? In the spring perhaps? :D
