Oh my god I went to a different tractor supply and got more.... Just in case anyone is curious if you have an addictive personality you should not have chickens lol.

What kind this time?!

That poor thing must have been in a lot of pain and probably still is. How in the world would this happen? I'm so sorry but I don't know how he will be able to drink or eat now so he may need to be culled. You can still eat the meat.

Is there any subject you don't know about? . Also, my broody chicken is sitting on the eggs like a champ. Nobody gets in her nest so far, and she makes a sneaky dash to take care of herself once a day. Go Cinnamon !

LOL. I know all about Genetic Hackle's because I have been researching them for years, they are #1 on my "most wanted" list. I have a trio on order for this spring, and they will get the royal treatment. I hope to hatch their young and raise a nice flock - planning to have them for sale in 2018, and also start breeding experiments to get those genetics into some of the other breeds I like. maybe a genetic hackle Welbar will exist someday, where those gorgeous roos will be in high demand as pets for people that tie flies. They can go pull some feathers from their roo and let him earn his keep.

We expect pictures!

Oh girl, it can get bad quickly! What did you get?

So sorry, that looks terrible... :hugs

I'll get some pics in a bit. More Banty mix! They are too cute! I'm pretty sure the first 6 I got we're all the same and I would like a mix so I checked other store... And they had a better mix. Can't wait till I learn how to tell them apart. I'll probably sell or give away the extras later on but right now I'm enjoying them. I really like the Banties. Think one might be a Wyandotte. We'll it looks like my standard chicks anyway.
