I'm very proud of my cat this evening. We had to leave this evening for my daughter's girl scout meeting and apparently, the cat slipped in to my room, which is where the brooder is. It's not surprising, he sneaks in there a lot but tonight, one brave little poult managed to escape. I don't know how long he was out but when we got home from girl scouts, the poult was on the opposite side of the room crying. Monro was sitting 3 feet away, just watching the poult walking around and crying. He made no attempts to hurt the little guy. The crazy thing is, Monro has always been one heck of a mouser. I'm going to pick him some fresh catnip tomorrow lol

Anybody know what breeds of ducks these are? A friend is trying to give them to me, but I'd like to know what they are first. So cute!!!

Edited once to add text, and a second time to fix the word ducks from another obscene word.

The one is a Muscovy. The other I can only guess as a Blue Swedish.

Thank you. I also asked in the duck forum, and this is what someone said:

Well the bigger one is a goose, so there's that. A tufted roman, I think. Looks like it has a tuft.

And the duckling looks to possibly be a crested blue swedish. I can't see if it has a chest patch.

Who knows?

In other news, as I was dusting this morning, I heard peeps! Coming from my incubator, a day early! One turkey, and two langshan eggs have pipped. The turkey is zipping now. I had forgotten to take the turner out last night, and the humidity had fallen to 21%. Eek! I opened up the bator to take out the turner, add some hot water bottles and a wet washcloth for humidity. And cranked up the temp, since I will be home today to monitor. :jumpy

I thought it was my imagination. I actually didn't answer right away because I didn't want to look stupid. :D

The passengers for the westbound chicken train are at the Pottstown depot, hanging out in the lounge until their train comes. Their next stop is Quakertown and they will be traveling there with @Blarneyeggs
