How old is Triton? I love the tail coloring!
Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Thanks for the input on my girls.Unfortunately he passed away a week ago. It's always the favorites that pass away first...
Anyhow, the pictures you shared of your chicks looks like they are all hens!
I always assume it's from swinging the basket. Or from flat out dropping them to play on the tire swing.View attachment 1021773
Have any of you guys cracked an egg with a runny yolk? I have had one before, and I had one again tonight. I discarded them. I just want to know if it's something wrong with one of my hens or just a fluke. Here is a pic of the one I cracked tonight.
My Silkie girl passed this morning on her own. This morning I found her laying down, head down. I knew she was almost gone, and I thought it would be more disturbing to euthanize her at this point. When I came back from church, she had passed. I made sure to cremate her, in care it was infectious, but I suspect it was cancer or something. RIP Big Bird!
I'm ready to start giving away chicks to kids. Anyone know any deserving 4-H'ers, or just kids in general?
Lavender Ameraucanas (split for silkied, but not sexable)
Cream Legbars
Welbars
Blue Egg Black Sexlinks
