Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Thank you Aurora! Iris LOVES her new apron and it is doing exactly what I had hoped. In this picture you can see how amazingly fast the new feathers are coming in.

Angel brought her baby outside for the first time today. She's such a sweet little thing but was very confused by ask the action. We walked over to check on her and she ran under me than jumped up on my boot.she did the same to DD. She has straight feathers so I'm guessing her dad is either BCM or cochin. I'm hoping the cochin :)

Sad morning here, we had a little tragedy. One of my two bantam Langhsans got killed this morning. :hit My little female Robin, who was so cute and perfect.

The good news is, that it looks like the Roosters did their job. She did die from injuries, but the predator didn't even take the body. I assume it was chased away by the Roosters or turkeys.

She only had two small wounds on her neck, so I think she may have been grabbed near her head, which caused her neck to snap. I hope so,for her sake.

Unfortunately, their fenced in area allows them to be cornered more easily, but I have to do it. Because otherwise the turkeys wander all over and the chickens poop all over.

I still have a couple of her eggs that she laid in the fridge and they looked fertile.... so tempted to try.... But I think I will wait for my next broody and see if I can get some more eggs from @msladyhawke.

So sorry to hear, I am glad she wasn't taken away though...even though it is horrible to find a loved pet I hate not finding them even more, if that makes sense...
:hugs
