Like everyone said, it looks like over mating by the rooster. I have a hen thar gets this way any time she doesn't wear a hen saddle so she has to wear one year round.

@gonehencrazy @Auroradream26 makes some great hen saddles that can help protect the girls until their new feathers come in.

I have 15 girls and 1 boy. There were three. The original rooster got usurped in Nov. and I sold the other cockerel at green dragon like a month ago. I never actually see the one I kept mate with the girls.

Chances are that the girls that are having the issues are your roo's favorite firms. They often get the most attention and unfortunately it shows :/ If you're interested in a couple hen saddles, pm me.

Another embryo seemed to be developing near the air cell. Is that a problem?
