I got eggs through a trade. In another week or two I have blue and white ones hatching. They only take something like 8 weeks to start laying. If you're willing to wait, I can get some to you.

Yep, coturnix. The colored ones are japenese. I'm not sure if they're the same thing or not but they're very similar. I got a dozen eggs last weekend for $4

Picked up a box of chicks from the PO this morning. It is still so much fun to get new chicks in the mail. They arrived in great shape from TX, after 1.5 days in the mail.

Not a hatchery, no. I'm not sure what his name is but he's a familiar face at the local tractor supply swaps.

I hate this rain... I really do. My babies need to come outside and get some water and fresh air and just have a nice time but no. Nooo nooo noo. This is why we can't have nice things. The good news is, I'm getting my list for my Show Box together. Larry got back to me turns out he's a CPT! I'm super stoked it's gonna be great! I just hope he can get here in time. (I have no clue how long it takes to get the test results back or if it's instant or something, god I'm trying not to freak out right now!)

Dawn is great for everything... except as a mouthwash.
Chickens, unlike fish, aren’t overly sensitive. Use bleach if you want. Though be sure to rinse it since bleach burns. A little bleach kills germs.

I think Niko is starting to be broody! YAY! Now, who has eggs for her and at what $$? I like big birds. I like colored eggs. Dennis, do you have any Lav Ams? Is there anyone closer to Lycoming Co or is a Train passing through soon?

I haven't heard any chicken train news on quite a while. I'm wondering if maybe that's a thing of the past maybe? I'm setting the last of my chicken eggs this weekend. Demand for chicks has been less than ideal this year and since I'm going back to work, I'm going to have less time to work with the babies and brooders. It's time to work on some flock subtraction again.
