I am in Chester County --near the border of Delaware. I am leaving myself for a couple weeks in July, but message me if you still think I can help. I have never treated bumblefoot, before though.@Lelanae You are in berks co right? One of my hens has bumble foot and I’m going out of town for two weeks. Any interest in taking her in to treat her? I would pay. Let me know.
Typical behavior that I seen in many years of broody hens is until the last 3 days, hens have been know to get off their eggs for an hour or so, and walk and eat and socialize. The last 3 days she won't move from the eggs. With summer temperatures in the 80s, one hour is no problem. Is it ok if 3 days before hatch day, mama has taken a few breaks from her brooding? She has gone right back to them and they were still warm. I guess time will tell.
