I haven't noticed more hawks. But now that I think about it, not so many rabbits around. Wonder if that is related.
My lavendars are getting big. I still don't know if they are boys or girls, but two of them are starting to get combs. Does that mean boy? The silvers still look a lot alike but one does have a longer tail. Neither has any comb starting. Boy gets a tail? Fred is going to be a gorgeous roo. But smaller than the others unless he puts on a heck of a growth spurt.
Jaebels is still broody. I don't have a wire cage to use to break her. Is it life threatening if she keeps this up? I really like her a lot and want to do right by her. But no babies.
Those of you that process your own meat birds with a "killing cone" - what do you use for a cone? Husband keeps joking about grabbing one of the construction cones off the highway.
