Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I have a goat due today. Not sure if she is going to have them today or wait. So I am busy keeping an eye on her.
:pop...we are awaitin' too:D

Everyone ready for a bit of weather this weekend?
I am just glad the ground is frozen again.
Hate muddy stuff...think that is why Spring is one of least favorite seasons, oh don't get me wrong, I love the start of everything new and green, but the mess..grrrr:barnie

Walmart has some really good clearances going on right now..well, they did as of Wednesday, anyway, I picked up some "Paper Whites" for .75 cents!!:yesss:
They were regularly priced $6.88. After they are finished blooming inside, I can plant them out when ground thaws.
The box came with everything you need, the dirt (add water to expand), pot, & 6-7 bulbs that had sprouts out.
Got those suckers planted in a nicer pot, put them in a warmer, sunny place & now they are really taking off!:clap

In 6 weeks there will be something pretty to admire.:love

Any babies yet?
Hope everything is going well.

We only have a dusting , looks very pretty out there, but cold!! Lots of sunshine now, very nice to see it, has been rare as of late.
Chickens were complaining they see white stuff again:rant, we told them to get over it, it's not deep..they just continued to look out their coop door hole, eight heads staring out & growling ,like we are lying to them...whatever:rolleyes:.
Have some prep for canning. Making veggie broth, tomato soup & sauce...at some point.
Takes a lot of energy just to get everything prepped:old hahaha.
Have a good day everyone:D!

So had a very long night. To sum up everything.... Anna had her babies. I was having problems and had to call the vet. Vet help deliver 2 boys. 1 dead and 1 alive. About 10-15mins after vet left she popped a girl out. And the vet checked to make sure there was no more in her too. So all this started at 11 pm Jan 13th and I went to bed around 4:30am Jan 14th. Now up at 6:30 to get kids ready for school.

What a rough night! I hope you'll be able to get a nap sometime today! Are the other two doing ok?

:hugs..try to get a little rest time in for yourself while kiddos are at school.
I understand it is very hard to sit & take time for you, but if you don't well then the world stops......& the family doesn't know what, where, how or why...yes, this is the power of the MOM!:bow:caf....so take as prescribed :old
:loveThose babies are so cute & momma looks good for such a long night too.
Enjoy your new kids, have a great rest of your day!:hugs

So my 1 neighbor who cant all ways tell if he is telling the truth. Said he say an eagle take our one duck. And that was the day we saw the eagle flying around. How do I keep my free range chickens and ducks safe with eagles and hawks coming around?

Just have a lot of hiding places available. Not a whole lot else you can do. I've heard of hanging old CDs so they reflect the light and deter them but I'm not sure how well that would work with a large area.
