Bantams are nothing like LF cochins with regard to broodiness. I find them to be as crazy about brooding as the silkies.I have several Cochins, standards, though no bantams. I adore them, but have had no success with them as broody moms yet. They are workhorse egg layers though! They are broad-breasted, but I don’t know how meaty they are. They will probably end up in the mix. I’m thinking Silkie primarily for their breeding proclivities, the point is to make tasty little tenders that breed like Tribbles.![]()
You have any friends that home school? Those mothers are gold mines for advice about how to keep kids learning when not in a classroom.Since school is canceled, and now they are saying it could extend into the next school year, I’m more concerned about Duckling falling behind.
It was brought to my attention, via an email, that kindergarteners are supposed to be doing online learning at this time. She’s doing letters right now, and I’m drinking coffee. Suddenly I hear, “you gotta fight! For your right! To paaaaarty!”I played that twice during a three day span of music education last week. I really didn’t think she was paying attention.
