Mindy took a couple of days off from chicken duties to go to camp, she let Dillon go along and they ended their weekend adventure with a trip out on the boat...their own version of 'dog days of summer'.

Finally got started on rehabbing our old barn a couple of weeks ago.... started with a new metal roof to replace the one my step-dad and I put on over 25 yrs ago. This time I hired a contractor since I don't have experience with metal roofing and my work hours would not give me time to do it on my own.
Now for foundation repair and new siding...

We installed metal roof for coop and run the first time. It's actually very easy. All we did is screw them in place. No leakage so far. But for such a large barn, I guess a contractor is necessary.
