Hello everyone, today I had to say goodbye to my jumbo Pekin duck that I have had since she was a hatchling. I am only down to one duck now and I am afraid of how lonely my female pekin will be now without her sister. If needed I am going to buy another hatchling to raise from the start but I was wondering if there is anyone in or near the bucks county region of Pennsylvania that has or knows anyone with adult pekin or jumbo pekin ducks that they would sell or re-home!! Please help me get my baby a new friend. :(

I know of somebody trying to rehome some Muscovies in southern Chester County. So sorry for your loss.💔 I lost one today too, my favorite of the 7-week old hatchlings succumbed to an unidentified respiratory infection that has plagued my flock from day 1. I miss my Wonderful so much!😭💔✝️🌹

I’d really like to get her another pekin so it’s not too much of a change for her. Thank you 😢 it’s so heart breaking. I’m so sorry for your loss as well, that is terrible. Sending love. ✨💕💞💓

It’s time for me to call it. I am a little embarrassed, but I don’t know that I actually did anything wrong. After running the incubator since March, I just had a good dose of bad luck.
I mentioned the power outages. Between the end of day 16 and mid-day 17, 9 quail hatched. One had no eyes, and passed today (2-days-old). On day 17, the incubator went crazy, and was at 106*. It wasn’t very long, but the remaining chicks, quail and chicken, were cooked.
I have enough quail to reproduce, I’ll figure out the broody… but if a certain someone wants to give me a hint, I’ll take it.
