no, but i will be keeping the chicks inside in a small brooder until they feather, then they will go outside in a shed with a large brooder thats heated, if worse comes to worse, can put them under a heat lamp in the shed.
 
i still have some fuzzies in the brooder in the house right now, hoping it stays really warm, not only for them but for me too, i hate the cold weather and freeze if it falls below 70, i love the hot weather being born and raised in florida.

Same here.My dozen Euskal Oiloa(Basque hen) eggs will be arriving later this month. I run electrical cord out to the coop at winter to make light/heat. This is very late for me. That's ok. I am determined to start the flock this year. Will brood in a heated room over the garage. Then harden them off. Should be ready to go outisde (9 week feathers) about 1st week of feb. Yeah, I know, that's cold. here in western PA. If it is too cold, I may keep them inside until March/April. Sprouted oats should keep them in good shape.

You just feed your chicks sprouted oats as they are growing and it won't make any difference it's winter instead of summer.
