Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Blarney, I'll bet I live really close to you. In a couple months (maybe 6 ) or so I'll have plenty of eggs to hatch. You could set my eggs! I don't have a bator. Lots of Variety too.
Earlier in this thread I asked about Lavender orpingtons. Got plenty of tips, Thanks to all!! I just paid for a dozen from Lavenderorpgirl. Supposed to pick them up around June 1st. I am so excited.
Blarney, you said that you were interested in them too. I had to buy the dozen, but only want 4 or 5, so when they come I could get in touch with you. I'll only sell them for what I paid. Let me know.

I'm just outside of Gettysburg, and I would love to get my hands on a lavender orp. Let me know if you have any extra when they hatch!! I just want one, and have room for a roo.

Hello! We are from Oakmont, Pennsylvania - just outside of Pittsburgh! Zoo Keeper, When you find out when the chicken swap is at Tractor Suppy in Delmont, let me know since I have two five week old slw roos I need to swap!

Gardening, I'd love to hatch for you. We are in Newlin TWP, if that gives you a better idea of where we are, although I go into Delco just off of 476 regularly to care for my mother, if that's closer. The eggs we just purchased are due to hatch on May 30th, so it may just work out. And my GAWD those English Orp Eggies are expensive, but OH So awesome!! I'm working on the BBS, and I don't want to add anymore colors as it would mean setting up yet ANOTHER breeding coop and run.

I am making some progress on the run, but wanted it done by yesterday and didn't quite do it. (Could it have been the wine?) ; )

Good morning jbarnes. I called Tractor Supply this morning and the gentleman told me it is next Saturday May 12th at 8am. Now I have to decide if I want to take one of my bantam cochin roos. I've grown attached to both and now I'm not sure I want to get rid of one. But I am on the hunt for some silkies (any color but white). I hope there is a good turn out. This will be my first swap

Hey guys. After much deliberation, I'm going to offer up my trio of WHITE Silkies (sorry Zoo Keeper!). Two pullets and a cockerel, 14 months old.

Their voices are changing. The crests are huge and gorgeous, but the feathering on the feet and legs is less than what I'd like to see. They will make good pets or even breeders for someone who is needing nice crest size and small comb with good color.

I can't keep them clean in my barn...which really irks me, so I'm going with a different color.

Please let me know if you would like them, I'm asking $20, but the price is flexible.

I'm close to State College, about 30 minutes from it near Bellefonte.

Hi just wanted to introduce myself. I live SW PA. I have 6 chickens. I have 5 pullets and 1 cockerel they are 9 weeks old. My little roo man started to make a crow attempt this morning. I cant have rooster where I am so I will have to figure out what I am going to do with him soon.
Well I just wanted to say Hi! This is my first year raising chickens but I had chickens in FFA as a kid so I remember somethings. Glad to see such an active PA group

White ones are gorgeous and that is the only color I wanted. When I first decided to raise chickens I had my heart set on white silkies and was searching for quite some time. I was offered buffs but waited almost a year to get my whites. I love them but now I am looking to add more color. Mine stay pretty bright all except their feet. I let mine in a run on the ground and they sure do get their feet dirty. Even after washing them they stay kind of yellowed looking. Still beautiful and still my favorite though
