The person I got the polish eggs from offered me more. So I have those eggs, the bantam MF cochin eggs I won recently, Bantam lav and BBS amerucana eggs and more silkie eggs coming.

I swear, ofter these, I am turning the bator off until FALL!!!

Going to wait a few more days as I put a few in later.. The quail eggs are lifeless....

We had a hawk kill & eat a pullet inside their fence yesterday. The chickens won't come out of their coop, and it's a good thing--I have seen a large hawk 3 times already today over the house & coop. Is there any deterrant that works for daytime predators like hawks? Night Guard works for night predators, but what (aside from keeping them inside or in a covered run all the time) works for hawks? Any advice appreciated.
