gardeningmama, I was wondering about that....They will probably have some form of Mille Fleur pattern, but I couldn't for the life of me...hold on! brb!
 
This is what I was afraid of...according to the calculator, the chicks will all come out black. :( BUT, they should have muffs, heavily feathered legs and may have some leakage of the other colors underneath. NO idea what would happen if you bred them to each other or to their mothers??

A little something for everyone here, Black Copper Marans, Standard Cochins, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Assortment of Layer Pullets...

Setting up Coops and deciding how many to keep in each flock.

Has anyone ever crossed Standard Cochin and Ameracauna??? Thinking it might be cool to have a fluffy Easter Egger !

Thinning out the numbers,,, classified listed in Chicks 1 day to 8 weeks old ....check it out. Some are older, easier to sex, quite a few pullets, thank goodness.

where do you find this calculator that everyone keeps talking about??? is it a website??
 
Well, I didn't think my OEGB Rooster, "Ginger" could actually do it... but he propogated his manhood successfully. One of my Swedish Flower Hens went broody early this summer and hatched 2 chicks. I'm having some difficulty uploading photos (only able to change my avatar right now)...so my new Avatar shows Ginger with Mama (the white hen), her chicks and another of my SFHs.
 
ok, I am bored. Waiting for chicks to hatch does that to me, lol!!

Anyone have any fun plans this weekend?
