Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I'm absolutely interested in attending this, and my husband would likely come as well.

Any more ideas on the when yet?

If I'm interested in the tech cert (can someone tell me a little more about exactly what's involved?) Is there another session, or is it all included?

Are we bringing birds to this clinic as well for testing?
I just need your info ( you can send it in a pm or an email to [email protected])

Dr. Martin is doing tours today and I have an email into him to get a firm date. Looking to make it far enough in advance that everyone can plan.

The Tech cert would be the same day. And they had said that you would bring birds along that would be a part of the program or birds that you would want to show.

Once I have the details I will send out a mass email to everyone that I have info for and would like to attend first and than there will be a post on here.

And if you send me an email with your info I can turn around and forward you the apps that you need. The CPT app as well as the PEP app.

Sorry... what is the PEP vs NPIP?
NPIP has a higher standard and is necessary for interstate sales and required for transporting across state lines. PEP is more recommended for backyard flock owners and carries the minimum for showing in the state along with AI testing.

And I would say the biggest difference is that the NPIP is in fact a national program where PEP is a Pennsylvania State program. And with the national program the regs and standards are nationwide as opposed to what is regulated within our own state.

Gotcha!

Thanks!

Is it the same amount of birds that have to be brought for the testing if you do NPIP vs. the PA testing? The app says you must bring all birds up to 300. We downsized a bit and no meat birds currently, so we have less than twenty but that's a lot of birds to drive two hours with! LOL
