I need to take a break and come visit.

Silver, ****!! Your gonna seriously be over run with chickens till Spring! Ducklings and your gonna make a tour de BYC houses. And out of 29 copper X eggs I'm sure you will have a fairly good turnout with those eggs.

Sally, Holy fluffy butts! I want to come see em. psst...and maybe leave some more eggs

If I can find where those **** bantam cochins are laying there would be some cute ones there to pop. And since the new neighbors no one is laying but the comets in with copper. Not the ugly sister, the cuckoo maran, not the RIR. Not a **** one of them. Grrrr. Yep I said it.


So this weekend is going to produce a new chicken enclosure which sure as God made lil green apples is going to screw with egg production as well.
 
The marans go thru her stages and did just get over molting .. she should lay for you again soon ... so what kinda eggs did i get i didnt even think to ask lol some of them were darker lol

They are the same as what Sally got. The ones that were really fresh (as in still warm from under chicken butt) Those are ALL BCM X Comets. And the ones on the bottom also include BCM X RIR

Take some of mine! I have 5 dozen or so. Most are just sitting around because I am out of cartons.
Not sure if they are fertile. Seems Red isn't having much luck in catching the girls.

Yesterday was so bad that he even started after the little girls! They wouldn't even stay still for him! 1 rooster can't catch 20 girls.
Speaking of roosters, I keep telling DH that Rocky should be learning to crow soon. It just hit me a few minutes ago that he is learning. I heard a noise this morning for sure, but thought it was a hen being funny. I think I heard it yesterday too. My babies are all growing up!
Someone have some chicks for me?

If you were closer you could borrow copper for a lil while. He would have your hens snapped into shape in no time! From the fert rate I would say he has it down pat. Heck for a lil while there I wasn't sure if he was even gonna eat lol.

And as far as babies go, I'm sure someone will be able to fix ya up.

I am putting several in on monday ... when they hatch I will let ya know !!! I do not mind sharing ! People share with me all the time .. thank the Lord and I dont mind being an enabler at all
