Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

If you raise roos together,,, they tend to tolerate eachother much better,,,, I have 3 grown Marans together in one pen,,,, and at least 8 others together in another run....
I agree with that mine have always been that way when raised together they usually do ok

If you were closer you could borrow copper for a lil while. He would have your hens snapped into shape in no time! From the fert rate I would say he has it down pat. Heck for a lil while there I wasn't sure if he was even gonna eat lol.

And as far as babies go, I'm sure someone will be able to fix ya up.
WOW,,, for someone who waited and waited for his first egg, you sure are pumping them out now,,, how many are you getting daily ???

Morning Ray !!

This picture is not the best and was taken when we first bought her in the other night .... she looks more light grey in spots than the pictures show ...

Good morning,,,, looks like a Blue Marans hen,,,, not a copper, just blue,,unless she is just missing her copper around her neck there is a difference

Off to work shortly,,,, anyone going to green dragon this evening ??

ME! I'll be at the dragon! cept I'll probably be gone before you get there. Fry pie, here I come!

This thread sure is busy! I too have chicken envy, Cream legbars, LF Cochins... But am NOT bringing in any more breeds... No more pens, too much work.

Silver: For 'sinkers' you can use glass jars filled with water and top sealed. Mimics other eggs and helps keep temp steady throughout bator. I plan on doing this next hatch.

Lilbrownie, how old of a Banty are you looking for? I've had 3 hatches since July, might be able to drum you up a lil pullet.

I've got BC Marans, will share eggs, and will be at the Sussex show in a few weeks, that's close to you Northeastern peeps.

Patrick's, can't believe you're not hatching yet....when that bug bites you, you are REALLY in trouble.
