people actually getting along

Now I'm really confused. You were kidding about sending me two goats via USPS 2 day, or kidding about goats being good? Or kidding about the berries? There's a lot of KIDDING going on in this goat discussion. God, I'm in rare form tonight. I need help.

I was looking forward to hearing their little "baahhs" from the box too.

You do realize I AM also kidding, I hope? I can't imagine trying to stuff two little goats into a flat rate shipping box.

You really ARE killing ME!

I could send you two goats. I have never tasted a goat with ice cream, and I pray I never have to.
The berries are great on ice cream.

I'm not sure my family will wanna get rid of those goats, though.

Yeah, being a vegetarian, I'm not much into eating goat, never mind on ice cream. But I do really want to get some. Will probably have to wait til next year when I can get them set up properly. Spent a small fortune on my chicken coop this year.

Brownie would torture the poor mail man with her cries of, ''Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! I want my maaaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaa!!"
Brownie is huge, but still nurses.

I want little ones, that's all I know. Little and friendly. Neutered males, just as pets.

I don't know much about goat breeds yet. Will need to do research on them before getting them, like I did with my chickens. Fainters would probably scare the heck out of me. They just tip over frozen for a while, right? Then they get up and carry on?

See littlegorb, this all goes back to your original post! I'll plant berries, get goats to eat the berries, they'll fertilize the land, and I'll share my freshly grown ginseng and berries with the neighbors!

I've never actually seen one faint. I don't think they actually pass out, I think they just play dead.

My friend has one, I'll have to ask her about 'em.
What do you want goats for? As in milk? Grass eating? Company/pets?

Just as pets and if they want to eat the brush in my yard fine. I have a woodsy area, and some goat people said that would be fine for them, that they'll just munch on the brush. I do not have a pasture, so it would need to be a breed that thrives in brushy areas. Don't want the milk or to milk them. That's why I think neutered males would be best for me. Just a small friendly breed to give me more of that "farmy" feel.

Yeah, whethers would probably be good for you.
If it's SUPER woodsy, you may have to supplement with hay.
My personal favorite is the Nubian. They aren't a small breed, but they're ver friendly. I don't know much about little breeds, I keep them for milk.
