People just don't get it but can I blame them .

My two brothers had really sweet nicknames:

That teacher is a coo coo. Next time someone passes judement on your bird keeping say to them:

1) It keeps me off the streets.
2) I'd rather spend time with my birds instead of doing drugs.
3) My birds are nicer than some people I know.

My son like to play with wrestler action figures probably a little longer than other kids. His older sister teased him about it and thought it "wierd". I said. It could be worse. He could want to get peircings, tatoos or hang out with creeps. If wrestling action figures were the worst, than bring it on. He, by the way, is now 21, a great kid and does not play with action figures.

You rock!! Keep up the good work. Thank heaven we are not all that closed minded as your teacher.

Well she can't grade off her personal opinion just because she thinks that but she has to grade me on the assignment witch was to write a one page essay about your pet or your best friend. since I did it and she could find nothing wrong with what I wrote she had to give me a 100.

She is so far one of my favorite teachers but since she is new who knows she might of had a bad experience with chickens when she was younger that left her with that impression. and if someone told you that their pets name were

Seriously dead
Feed watser
Freeloader
Slit throat
Red

You might think there was something wrong with them.

Names, schmames. How many of us here have a chicken named Nugget? If that isn't some sort of passive/aggressive pet name I don't know what is. I routinely call my freeloaders and threaten the dears with stew, and my silkie roo's usual nickname can't be printed on a family friendly forum but it starts with "you little" and ends with "it".

My brother is Brett, routinely called brat by his sisters. And my husbund has a cousin called Buck; not a bad nickname, but it started as Slopbucket because he was such a messy kit.
