I am with you on this problem!!! I just wanted a few fresh eggs per day.... Now I'm building Noah's Chicken Arc and looking for two hens of every breed!!! lol.

Oh, I agree. Everyone needs lavender Orps!!! Personally, I NEEED some blue Turkens! And I was just kidding about the Wyandottes. I have several myself.

First I didn't read all the posts. I once had 129 guinea pigs and not one of them ever laid an egg. Their poop was good but not a plus.
I just took my cat to the vets and paid over $200. Next time he's a goner. I could have bought 500 pounds of chicken feed and not have to sift their litter box. Cat poop ain't any good.
I know your not serious about your post but I figure "a hen laying eggs is worth a pound of cats". pun intended.
