My guess is that if the person is told clearly enough, it won't happen again.
My friend told me if someone walked into his house, he'd first say, 'Is there a problem?' And I said, 'that's talking in CODE! If someone is dull witted enough to walk in uninvited, you can't tell them not to in code!'. He then said 'I'd say is there a problem FIRST! THEN I'd tell him not to walk in'.
One of my other friends suggested that 'clarity is always amply assisted by the odd shotgun across the lap', LOL!!!
