People Who Expressed Interest in my Heelers- Update on Post #786

You're right about them being TUFF. Tess worked cows with me last fall and got kicked over and over. When we were done, she had 7 cuts from kicks on her head and her name tag was bent. The year before I had to have two teeth removed from her mouth because they broke off from getting kicked. Never once did she back down after a kick. She just jumps up and grabs the next leg I point at.

Poor Tess! Ginja doesn't snore yet, but she does other things in her sleep

(Unless thats my husband, just blaming the dog)

I am socializing 2 litters they are

PomChi's litter of 5 and they were 5 weeks old last Friday.

Shelties litter of 5 and they were 4 weeks old last Friday.

They are soooooooooooo cute. I will have to try and get ya all some pics.

Hey Buster I am still waiting to hear on that next litter. I will also be calling that guy with those Buff Orps we were talking about. I will let ya know what he says about them. Right now got 54 designer chicks in the bator and 1 BR/dorking from my one and only hen laying.

Well, Tess went into heat in October so I am guessing her next one will be in March or April. She seems to catch up a month each year. I will let you know as soon as I take her to the stud.

I love looking thorugh this thread. My best and most favorite dog ever while growing up was a blue heeler. She was so smart and my best friend. We all cried so hard when she finally died.

One of these days I will have a big back yard that I can let a heeler run in. Right now, with as much as I work and as small as my yard is, it wouldn't be fair to the dog.

Ginja is cracking me up, she sits here next to my chair and talks to me...

Its like a half bark half growl thing, funny as heck!

Oh yeah, that's another Aussie thing. They talk, lol.

I've got a question for ya'll. Do you dogs smell? I and other folks have noticed that Spook has no "doggie" smell unless she is wet. When she is wet, eeeegads!

And what is it about peas? Not that I blame her, but she won't eat I gave her some of the Turkey Pot pie I had for dinner and she left all the peas on one side of the bowl. She always does this.

Ginja doesn't smell bad or doggy at all, unless she's been playing in the water (she tries to bite the water when I'm filling buckets!

It was one of the things I was worried about, I do not like dog smell much at ALL, but really Ginja doesn't smell - and she hasn't even had a bath in a MONTH or something crazy... I do need to give her one, but its been so cold, I heat the house up to like 72 and then bath her, then she'll do her couch rub

she runs around the living room like her pants are on fire, rubbing herself along the couch as she goes...

I don't think GInja has had pea's, but she'll eat just about anything it seems.... she's our pre-dishwasher.

she takes her job very seriously.
