I didn't get my Heeler from Buster but wanted to share him anyway.

Boy are they, he has such a fit when the kids go out to play. He has tore up every food bowl we have gave him, so now he has an old metal cooking pan that we feed him in. When the kids go out to play, he uses it as a soccer ball and moves it around his pen while barking full tilt until we let him out. You would think we had 20 dogs once he gets going. As soon as he is out, he is quiet until someone comes, then he barks to let us know we have company. He is 9 months old and loves to work the goats.

We only have one, not very amused goat.

Ginja leaves the horse alone so far, which is good, but she keeps the FAT goat busy which is good for both of them.

I want to teach/train Ginja to get the ducks in at night, the ducks tend to want to hang around the deck and we have to constantly chase them off.

Ginja doesn't bark much, she DOES bark at reflections in the sliding door - which cracks me up!! I stand behind her and flap my arms around just to get her going!

Tess has been keeping the ducks off the road and out of the driveway, which doesn't amuse them much. Ginja should be able to learn to get them in at night with some practice. Make sure that if she is moving your goat around, it is constructive and not on her own. Stock dogs can cause some serious damage if left to their own devices. Careful around the horses too- Tess has caused more than one rider to be dismounted because she heeled a horse with a rider. Hope Ginja is doing great! I've seen a couple of pups from the same litter recently and they just look amazing to me- almost make me jealous.

I'm not sure HOW to train her to DO what we want. So far she seems to get the idea - our goat likes to stand up on the fence, and it damages the fence so I'm always yelling at him... I did it once while playing fetch with Ginja, the goat didn't listen so I had to walk towards him yelling - Ginja seemed to understand and she took off to the fence and the goat got off - I'm not sure if she nipped his feet sticking through or not. I guess if that is repeated a few times Ginja will figure it out.

My husband took her out last night to close the chickens in, and the two of them moved along, to corral the last two ducks in - Ginja wasn't perfect, but she did seem to be trying to figure out what he wanted.
She really loves to DO something. So far she's been really good leaving the chickens alone - but now and again she'll get all excited and start running laps around the back yard, and when I chicken runs off in front of her she thinks its a game.

I really need a trainers help - I don't know what the heck I'm doing here...

I'm doing pretty good. The last round of chemo knocked me on my butt, lol. We are gearing up for surgery next month so right now I'm just trying to get stronger before we do. Can't wait to get my new small and perky tatas!!
