People Who Expressed Interest in my Heelers- Update on Post #786

Well Ginja won't be having any puppies!

She was fixed on Friday. She's feeling MUCH better, and keeps bringing me her ball to play - I have rolled it along the ground a few times, I don't want her jumping around too much.

Her little surgery "wound" isn't very big..

AWWWW! Poor dog!

Looks like she'll bounce right back from it Wildsky. I saw one of her litter mates today. The guy who bought him from me brought him by to show him off to me. He's a big beautiful dog! Nice personality too. I'm very pleased with the results of breeding these two. I wish I had been thinking and I would have taken pics of him to post. It's ok though, two of Ginja's litter mates live within 2 miles of me so I think I'll do that one of these days just to update. Why not? This thread could always use more PICS!

Isn't it fun trying to keep them still! NOT!!!

When Spook tore her ACL she wanted to run and chase the frisbee on 3 legs!! After surgery, I had to keep her calm and stop her from chasing the cats or anything that moved for 8 weeks! Yeah right!! is what I told the vet.

Glad Ginja is feeling better.

Ginja is only happy when she's walking around with a ball in her mouth!
The vet also said the stock/working dogs are harder to keep still than others, told us not to let her jump around for two weeks!

Thats like leaving kids in a candy store and telling them not to eat anything!

Her mama's gotten LAZY since we left the ranch. I will be sitting here at the computer and hear SNORING! So I look behind me and she is sacked out in her crate asleep! She won't even play with me with her ball or anything, only with my boys. If I throw any of her toys she looks at me like she's offended.

I've never known a dog so "tuff". When Spook tore her ACL she did so running the geese off the playground at school. One of her many jobs. She had a partial tear that we were keeping an eye on, but she got ahead of me that morning and was across the playground and on them before I rounded the corner. She come hopping back on 3 legs. Never let out one little yelp. I would be rolling on the ground!!!

My students at school love her. We've had a couple of younger kids who brought weapons to school who were sent to us. They were separated from the rest of the population. I remember one day when a new student first met Spook. The boys brought Jose' into my office to meet her, the first words I heard out of him was, "SHE'S SMILING!!"

let me go see if I can find a smiling picture

Here we go
