Hey everyone. Just letting y'all know why I haven't posted here recently. I'm taking a bit of a long-term break from Minecraft. School's starting next Wednesday for me and I gotta focus, this is my toughest year.
As for the guy/girl with the song looking for a mic to make him/her sound better, mics don't really change your voice. Trust me on that one. I sing with a mic [I'll see if I can post an audio clip of me singing Titanium.] and it doesn't change my voice at aaall. Just makes it easier to hear. Personally, I don't use autotune. I hate it, it's too... anatomical, if that's even a word. I think it is. But I don't use autotune.
So get a mic, even if it's cheap, and go for it! :] We'll root for you!

ok thanks I guess my voice seems a little higher with a mic. probably just me. now I just have to get in contact with captainsparklez, some video editers, a few animation designers and I might be on youtube one day.

but with my luck, it'll never happen.

I've been told that my voice sounds a little squeakier with my mic, but the difference isn't huge. Try to not be too self-conscious about it, and remember that you're your own worst critic.

I should get back into videomaking. It's kind of fun to try and commentate, even if I'm not much good at it. I'll just need to try to remember how to run recordmydesktop correctly, because I stink at using the command line...

The reason for your voice sounds higher pitched to you, is because when you talk, you also hear your voice from inside, if that makes sense. Your voice goes directly to your eardrums as well as reverberates around the room. You sound the same in a mic as what we hear when you talk. Hopefully that makes sense.. It's the same with everyone. xD

Made myself a 1.4.2 profile and created a new world. It's fun to go back and play the first version I used! I don't like that click-and-drag crafting doesn't exist in this version, but it's still pretty nice. The zombies are so easy to avoid!

Have I mentioned how much I love the new launcher and its multiple profile support? It's easily my favorite change to the game so far. You can even play the very first version of the game now, where the world was flat and the only mob was Steves.

Was just mining a "safe" tunnel near the top of the nether. Mined into a stay bit of lava. Died. Oh nether, you just made yourself a bitter enemy. IT. IS. SO. ON!

...I actually only lost some stone pickaxes and netherrack. It's more embarrassing than anything else, especially since I was playing on peaceful and have had a pretty decent survival record lately.
