people with house chickens

I am about to join the house chicken group! I'm hatching some silkie, have an indoor coop and will be using diapers for when they are roaming the house. Ill take lots of pics and post my progress to help others who want to make the leap to a life filled with chicken bliss!

What does your indoor coop look like? Mine goes into her coop in the garage/basement at night. Her diaper just shipped and I am super excited to try it out!

She is suppose to be Silkie frizzle mix but I think she has some polish in her

The coop will be in the house in its room (I happen to have a spare).

It's nice, because I can leave them in the cage when I am gone and they can lay eggs and do their thing...and when I get home, I'll put on the diaper so they can hang out around the rest of the house.

What style of diaper did you pick? There is a padded one and one that looks like a pouch (chickendiapers.com). Not sure which one is the best. Let me know how you fair!

Wow...she has amazing color! The pic with her sneaking up on the cat is hilarious! Love it!

What is her name?

Looks like you don't use a diaper. How have you found the clean up to be?

I hear you can potty train them, but it takes 2-3 weeks of 24/7 treats and whistles. lol

It should be delivered by the 31st

. Until then, we are only allowing her on our laps in the rooms with carpet.lol. She doesn't mind though, she clucks for us to pick her up when she is on the ground. Or she likes to ride the dog (I think Augie, the dog, enjoys it). I wish we had a spare room now! My husband won't let me change the office into a chicken room.
