people with house chickens

Oh and also. In the Spring I'd like to get a another maybe 2 other hens to keep with Pidgey so she has some friends. I want a breed that is a good layer and a good broody but is bigger than Pidgey. My ideal thing is I want one large chicken, one medium sized one, and then Pidgey who is really small.I read in multiple places on here that you can mix sizes as long as you monitor them and introduce them carefully. I'm hoping I can find the proper sized breeds, hopefully as chicks.

I definitely will! I made her a Halloween costume. She's a dinosaur!
She loves to be handfed vegetables and mealworms. I'm going to bug my mom to let me order one of Louise's Country Closet Harnesses in a few days. She measures out at 7 inches from base of neck to vent. Wish me luck guys!

How cute!!!
My goosey is going to be a pink dragon for Halloween! I will take lots of pictures to share with you guys.

Sunni is officially a house chicken! I still have to get some pictures of her. Right now she's standing on my lap on the couch. She has already pooped in the diaper, and is even preening it. She doesn't want to walk in it though. The part that goes across her belly was a bit long, and she kept hooking her feet in it and pulling the diaper off. So I used some safety pins and pinned it so it wasnt so loose. She looks so cute in her pink diaper. :love

Here are a couple pictures! She was a bit stressed out, so I took off the diaper and she is outside taking a dust bath right now. I am going to have to slowly adjust her to the diapers. I fear that too much all at once will overwhelm her. She looked so cute in the diapers though! She has this cute pink one with black polka dots, and a navy blue one with light and dark blue flowers. When I fastened it with the safety pins, I accidentally pulled them forward too far. So when she pooped it just came out over the pouch.

I think I got it pinned at the right spot now. Lol

I forgot to ask Tess if she could add leash loops to them, so I'll have to see if I can find some little plastic loops like she uses and sew one on each diaper. Other than them being a tiny bit too long, I am very happy with the quality. Sunni might still grow a bit, so the roominess isn't that big of a deal. If she doesn't grow more, I can always sew them smaller instead of pin them. I ordered the diapers last week Tuesday, so she got them sent out within 6 days, and they got here two days after she shipped them. Much faster than I was expecting!

I have a Polish who lives outside during the day and inside at night I am eagerly waiting for her diaper to arrive so she can come in all the time! She is so sweet and fun to watch!
