AND they dont come home pregnant or fathering a child...well maybe they bring home chicks but not the same kind...Phantom I totally respect you for your decisison. I had my first son t 17 for all the wrong reasons....i wanted something to love me unconditionally. Now years later i realize i should have gotten a puppy. Under no circumstances should a person bring a life into this world to fulfilll a void in their life...now i have an awesome husband, dog and chickens...It's a decision that works well for me.
Chickens are way cheaper to feed, they put me in a happy mood ALL the time, they don't have report cards, they don't text, they don't want expensive toys, they don't vandalize, if they steal anything they can't be punished by the law (and people think it's cute), they don't talk back (in English), I can lock them in a cage when I don't want to deal with them and people won't think I'm a monster, and at least so far, they're not growing up to hate and resent me for trying to raise them properly.
Yeah, I think I'll stick to chickens![]()
