people with house chickens

It's a decision that works well for me.

Chickens are way cheaper to feed, they put me in a happy mood ALL the time, they don't have report cards, they don't text, they don't want expensive toys, they don't vandalize, if they steal anything they can't be punished by the law (and people think it's cute), they don't talk back (in English), I can lock them in a cage when I don't want to deal with them and people won't think I'm a monster, and at least so far, they're not growing up to hate and resent me for trying to raise them properly.

Yeah, I think I'll stick to chickens

AND they dont come home pregnant or fathering a child...well maybe they bring home chicks but not the same kind...Phantom I totally respect you for your decisison. I had my first son t 17 for all the wrong reasons....i wanted something to love me unconditionally. Now years later i realize i should have gotten a puppy. Under no circumstances should a person bring a life into this world to fulfilll a void in their life...now i have an awesome husband, dog and chickens...

Hi All,
I just got my Hen Holsters chicken diapers today for my 3 silkies.

I swear it was like they forgot how to sit, walk and lay down.......unhappy puddles of fluff all over.....fluffy land mines

.
I will put them on the birds for a while each day until they get used to them.
I am not adverse to letting them go au natural..tho the cecal poops are nasty! And they don't poo as often as when they were babies.
I'll get some pics the next time I have them wear them.

This next part is kinda racy.

I was also trimming my bird's claws today..I was working on my black cockerel on the couch while my hubby was playing his video game with friends over the net..He told them that it was kinda difficult to measure up against the black cock she was stroking next to him on the couch...they had fun with that for quite a while!!!!
