you are NOT alone! it never gets done... unless your on crack! LOL...

our 8 acres has about 4 of jungle. the other 4 take up a lot of time. but you add enough chickens and they kill the grass.

in all seriousness my house stays a mess between the grandchildren, chickens, garden, and yard when am I suppose to clean house? i actually have to clean out the porch fridge in the morning I guess the weather change caused the temp to change and everything in it exploded!

Boy, can I relate!!! We have 100 acres (20+miles from our house), we have our garden (huge), orchard and vineyard there. There is about four acres (including the orchard and vineyard that I mow. We have 12 acres here about 4 are clear because we have terrible soil here, I only have to mow twice or three times a month here--- but 2 times every week at the farm during the wet/hot summer...

Dh works away from home 2 out of three days, so when he is here he sleeps, catches up on paperwork ( which I HATE).

I also take care of my grandbaby about 50hrs a week and work at least 8hrs a week (away from home-LOL)---So, I take care of him, the yard, the garden, the orchard, vineyard, the mowing, feeding animals and that doesn't leave much time for HOUSEWORK!!
But since I hate being inside 'almost' as much as the baby--I put it off as long as possible.. My oldest dd came home for Mother's Day and cleaned my house 'because money is tight'!! She got in the shower with a scrubber and ajax!! It is so nice... I told them all they could do that for me for EVERY holiday...

I just wish I cared enough to get up earlier and get the clothes all on the line before the baby comes...

It's not a lot but it's enough!!! 2.5 acres and 2 of them are covered with wild mustard. Recently bought two goats.

The rest is coops, out building and Joshua trees.

This post is totally me...or should I say us..

We have 8 acres...about 4 cleared. Between 3 kids ranging from the age of 19 months to 13 yrs. 2 dogs, a cat, one donkey 2 horses , 3 pigs...6 grown chickens and 20 in the brooder I never seem to have enough time to get my housework done. Then again..I never want to. Would rather be outside with the kids and animals. On top of that, I have a veg garden and 3 huge flower beds. Also have a pool for the kids, which is my responsibilty to take care of (was the agreement when I talked hubby into getting it)

Hubby says he thinks we have bitten off more then we can chew. I have taken the attitude that things with the house (painting, small details) will eventually get done. I keep the house picked up and the laundry caught up..but my critters and kids needs come before any housework!

As long as you don't have crusty dishes in the sink, your house is clean.

Or so I tell myself.

Enjoy the outside while it's still cool enough to enjoy! Soon it will be a hunnerd treelion degrees and you'll find more excuses to stay inside.

LMAO those are rules I live by.

If my kitchen is clean and the laundry is done, I am good to go,.......the rest can wait till it rains and I feel like doing it.
