Agree with @AMERAUCANAS4REAL ; erminette/paint is caused by single factor dominant white, which is found in White Leghorns and Pyle varieties of many breeds. It's common to introduce a gene and then breed back and back to the appropriate parent, this case Ameraucana, to develop new colour varieties

I believe dominant white is already in the white Ameraucana variety.

Yes they look cool but its like the paint silkies. They only breed true 50% and there can be a lot of variation in those 50%.
So lots of chicks need to be hatched to get any amount of good looking ones.

Exactly what I was going to say, but I wasn't here early enough.
@AMERAUCANAS4REAL and I both know our genetics.

My educated guess is that they crossed a white Ameraucana with a black Ameraucana.

Austrawhites are produced large scale and they have black flecks. White Leghorn over black Australorp.
