I have 2 week old BO's (3 of them) and I've noticed whenever I pick one of them up, she likes to scurry up onto my shoulder. Is it just a personality trait or does it mean something?

hmm.. I am not sure, maybe she feels safer up there? my husbands chicken Beaker still loves to sit on his shoulder now..but she is a big bird and has claws like a hawk..I wouldn't want her on my shoulder for sure.

Could be jealousy, I have one hen that would sit in my lap if I was holding another in my lap when the one I was holding would get down she would get down. If I held another she had to come back up on my lap.

I can attest to that. I have one hen that gets very vocal and will look at me and squawk while I hold other hens besides her. I also have another couple that like to perch on my shoulder. Maybe because they seem to like getting as high as possible for the best perspective?

Donuts will get them on your shoulder. Even if you are standing. Even if they are buff orpingtons. The beating you take on the way up can be painful...
