I see it's recommended to feed kelp to chickens for a verity of health benefits and have read that FR chickens will eat snails so my question is this; I live by the seashore and have an endless supply of seaweed and periwinkles(sea snail) at my disposal, would it be OK to gather up and give my chickens these things as treats once in a while ?

I baked a cup of the periwinkles and smashed them up for the chickens, they loved them. I have not noticed any difference so thinking it is ok, but would love to hear others opinions.
