Permanent Hoop Coop In Progress_Update!!! See Post #34!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been using this one for two years now, an 8x10 cattle panel hoop coop. Love it but wish I had made it one hoop bigger at 10 x 12...who knows? May add another hoop if I'm still here in the spring! If I put any more length on it I'll be sure and provide the bracing as you've done on your coop build.

I saw your posts earlier and I commented on how nice it is but can't find it! Anyway, after viewing yours, I continued onto look for other designs and wouldn't you know it? This is awesome too! I think I would just frame it out a bit better and perhaps keep the back wall as you have it in wood if it were being used as a coop!

Bee, what is that on the top? Not a tarp? Canvas? It looks almost padded. Noticed it before. Great setup.

It's just a cheap ol' tarp from Ollies with a layer of plastic under it at the roof portion. That tarp still looks great after two years now but I'm thinking of stripping it off this summer and moving to heavy plastic like a greenhouse and just cover it with a tarp for shade in the summer and take off the tarp in the winter to maximize the light exposure. I've got one side in plastic for the winter to let in light and such but it's just not enough....I want more light.

This is my "sun porch" side in the winter.....

That's pretty nice. It gives me some ideas for this spring
