Tonight I checked birds on the roosts, and STILL no mites! Mary
You can make a much less expensive permethrin horse spray with Gordon's.When I got my goats, the mosquitoes were pretty bad. So I bought horse fly spray (prepared) as it's supposed to work on mosquitoes as well. It did seem to help. The active ingredient was permethrin and it stated it was good for 30 days.
I have never yet treated for bugs, but know I don't care for DE. Although I don't prefer to use chemicals, sometimes it's the lesser of the evils that we must pursue. I am glad to know I can safely use this product if I need to.
