Permethrin

Hello -

We have an unusually constructed home with tall peaks hornets/wasps/etc like to nest in. We have had the house sprayed by a local nursery with permethrin in the past. The chicken coop was built near the house after the last fall spray. When they spray, it is a high pressure spray from a "tanker" truck, not just the pump action sprayer the ortho guy has. Do you think this will be okay? Are there anythings I need to consider such as withdraw times, etc?

Permethrin is approved for use on chickens, and fairly recently a withdrawal time has been added. I'm not sure about the time, though. Try your poultry extension office, or the Poultry Dust information on the label or the website. Mary
