Permits for Coturnix Quail

Does anyone know if you need a permit or license to raise Coturnix quail in Indiana?

Contact your local Extention Agent and see what they say. You may be referred to another office, but it is a start. I was told over and over the Coturnix were not a problem here in Texas and you didn't need any permit. Once we got our permit for our Bobwhites, we received a paper that stated Coturnix were considered game birds and were listed under partridge - not quail. They do need to be licensed here in Texas.

Contact your Local fish and game they will tell you if you need a permit. Here in utah you don't for courtunix but for Bobwhites ect we do.
