Persimmons?

The ducks have been safely delivered.
I’m so happy. The new duck parents seem like really nice folks too.

It seems a really nice home. When they were so willing to take mine I thought they are going to process them. Then I got there and saw the set up and the children and thought I had some lucky ducks and goose. I asked for some hatching eggs in the spring. Hope your citrus trip was good.

Can ducks eat persimmon scraps? I searched on the forum but didn’t see anything.

My bantam chickens LOVE persimmons!! I think ducks would need help with them--maybe after a turn in the blender?

they were really squishy hachiya persimmons. I baked a cinnamon persimmon cake and these where the scraps.
But I could definitely see how fresh fuyu persimmons would be difficult as they are so firm. So yeah, you are probably right.

ahh yes... mine have only had the fuyus.... hachiyas are harder to come by!

They are pretty good. They taste to me like a cross between a plum and a mango. But you have to let them get real squishy for the flavors to be that complex(even the fuyus).
